Profile
Ferrum is the deuteragonist of Personal Demons, a psychological horror coming-of-age visual novel currently in development. Set in New York, Ferrum stalks the protagonist Carmara and encourages her to take revenge against those who caused her misfortune.
Appearance
Ferrum is a demon disguised as a hairy, burly, paunchy, heavily-scarred brown-skinned Pacific Islander man. He has ombre-dyed hair partially tied up in a loose topknot, stubble, and unsettling bespectacled eyes that have yellow sclera and black pupils with thin red rings in them.
He wears a purple-pink leather choker with a small silver pendant in the shape of a 5-pointed star; a black sleeveless graphic tee with an illustration of a red-skinned, white-haired scantily clad demon woman standing in a large, spiked hoop in a star formation; a purple-pink leather jacket worn loosely below the shoulders, with his right hand in the pocket and the left hand holding a cigarette (seen in every fullbody); brown (right arm) and black leather (left arm) studded bracelets both with black rosaries tied over them, with the brown bracelet having red cloth underneath; and nails painted black.
He also wears a pink and purple tartan denim kilt with pouches, gold zippers fastened with a purple belt; hooked to the kilt are three gold chains with the bottom one carrying three gold accessories: two stars with a tyet with an engraving in the middle; a belt wrapped diagonally over the kilt; purple plaid pants, scuffed and dirty purple 4″ platform boots with the tongues loose 3/4 of the way since his calves are too thick to lace them up all the way.
For accessories, he wears two gold helix piercings, a silver tragus piercing, and a silver lobe earring of a heart pierced with a nail on his right ear; gold loop piercings on his eyebrows and gold snake bite piercings; several unique silver and gold rings.
Personality
He comes off as aloof and bored at all times, but takes joy in teasing or antagonizing others. Nothing ever seems to get under his skin (but it is possible), and hidden underneath that dead-eyed stare is someone who can be incredibly calculated and cruel. He does not reveal much at all about his life to Carmara, and doesn’t answer much unless he deems it necessary. He indulges in several vices and is a heavy chain smoker, as if he’s trying to take the edge off at all times.
History
Ferrum is a mysterious, aloof and unnerving man who has been stalking Carmara ever since their first encounter. Not much is known about him and his motives also remain unknown, but he clearly has an interest in Carmara’s life since he always has an opinion on it. He shows up at random, either to annoy her or to offer her advice (sometimes both) but not without making snide remarks.
He lives somewhere in Queens in the Townshend Apartments with two roommates. While there is no hierarchy established between him and the roommates, he is seen as the “leader” due to always taking initiative.

- He never blinks.
- One of his rings is a fidget spinner, which he uses frequently, especially while thinking.
- He is the only one who ever takes the trash out of the apartment.
