How Pricing Works

Pricing for sketches and illustrations are for a single character that can be a headshot, bust, portrait or a waist-up drawing. You are given the option of a thigh-up, knee-up or fullbody add-on for a fee.

This fee carries over to the extra character fee rates, which start at headshots to waist-ups for the lowest fee amount to fullbody for the highest fee.

For sketches, the cleaner lines and color fee is a one-time fee that applies to the whole piece, not just one character.

Prop fees (e.g. weapons, devices, etc) are based on its complexity. The fee wildly varies so it’s on a case-by-case basis. Familiars, pets or other companion-type creatures also fall under a case-by-case complexity fee.

For detailed and complex backgrounds, the fee is based on a percentage of the starting price of the commission type, not the subtotal.

General

You must be 18 years old or older to commission me. 

I will draw anything (furry, lgbt, ocs, fanart, etc) except stuff I don’t fancy. Don’t be afraid to ask! I don’t do NSFW commissions under this username, email me or DM me on VGen for further details. I don’t work for free. No lowballing. Period.

Visual references are REQUIRED for your commission. It doesn’t have to be already-existing art of your character; it can be several images that best convey what your character looks like.

How to Commission Me

To commission me, you can do so on VGen with the link provided above OR send me an email with the following information:

• Your name/username + pronouns to refer you by
• Your paypal email (if different than your email)
• Whether your commission is personal or commercial
• Your budget, if a commercial commission
• A deadline, if a commercial commission
• What you want (e.g. waist-up illustration w/ BG)
• A summary of your commission
• Visual references (links or attachments are fine) [REQUIRED]
• Whether you want it private or public
• … and if public, your permission to post WIPs online and/or on my Ko-Fi

Specifics

By default, my sketch and illustration commissions are done on your choice of an A4 or US-Letter sized canvas at 300dpi. You may request a larger canvas which may be charged a fee; smaller canvases will cost the same as the base price.

If your commission is for public viewing, I will ask for your permission to post WIPs of your commission online and/or on my Ko-Fi. I can make the WIPs available to everyone or only exclusively to my Ko-Fi, or not at all— by default I keep them private, so just let me know.

Payments

For e-mail based commissions, payment is done through Paypal only via invoices. You will be sent an invoice and will have 30 days to pay in full or it will be cancelled. Payment is expected upfront in full once negotiations have been made before any work begins. I accept partial payment plans of 50% upfront, 50% later if commission totals exceed $300.

Revisions

Small revisions are generally free, but bigger, more complex revisions, or multiple revisions will be charged extra. Please don’t be afraid to ask, though! I want to make sure I’m drawing your character as accurately as possible and wouldn’t want to disappoint you.

Deadlines and Delivery

Commissions on average take 1-6 weeks to complete depending on the US holidays, workload, and your response time for evaluations. I will always inform you if there are any delays so if I haven’t responded in a while, you can just e-mail me. You may request a deadline at the start of your commission, but rush orders will be charged an extra fee.

Your completed commission will be sent as an un-watermarked jpeg through e-mail, but you can request TIFF or PNG files for no extra charge. I do not give out the original .CSP files for my personal, non-commercial artwork.

Use

You are free to use the artwork however you see fit as long as it’s not sold or has credit removed, and you are also allowed to post the original un-watermarked artwork wherever you want. If you want to sell the work on t-shirts, stickers, prints, CDs, etc. this is considered commercial work and will cost more on a case-by-case basis.

If permitted, the final work will be posted onto my portfolio and social media in a smaller resolution with a watermark. You may request to opt-out of this at any time.

Intellectual Property Rights

For all personal commissions, I retain 100% rights to the image, but not the characters (unless they are my own). For all commercial commissions, rights to the image can be discussed.

Refunds

THERE ARE NO REFUNDS FOR COMPLETED PROJECTS. If you don’t like where it’s going before it’s done, let me know ahead of time! I will refund you on a percentage basis, which is based on how much work has already been done.

Correspondence

All correspondence will be done through vgen. Please do not DM me your commission’s status anywhere else, only e-mail me if I haven’t sent you a response in 1 week. All communication between us will remain confidential unless you grant me limited permission to post WIPs, or, on the negative side, act inappropriately towards me.

Commercial Work

Clients are not permitted, under any circumstances, to use any part of their commissioned artwork for Generative AI, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), cryptocurrency, or any other form of blockchain-based technology. Use of the artwork for advertising or profits associated with Generative AI, NFTs or blockchain technology is strictly prohibited.

If you would like to commission artwork for commercial use (advertisement, publishing, novel covers, t-shirts, etc) please specify this in your inquiry with a budget ready so that I can provide you with additional information upon response. Commercial rates are decided upon a case-by-case basis and are subject to higher commission rates.
