What happens to Heaven and Hell when their creators vanish?
Angels and demons are left to fend for themselves when the Creator and His Adversary seemingly vanish overnight. Heaven attempts to maintain normalcy while struggling against a mysterious plague, and Hell shuts its doors in order to quell the chaos from the power vacuum.
Archangel Laius descends into Hell to negotiate peace talks with the Princes, the new de facto rulers, in order to find a cure for the Hunger— an infection that turns angels into cannibalistic lunatics who devour friend and foe. In order to prove he’s worthy of an audience with the Princes, Earl Ferrum acts as his mediator and guide through Hell, except Ferrum, frankly, does not give a shit.
Origins
The origins of Judgement was an idea about the aftermath of angels and demons’ livelihoods when God and the Devil disappear, then it became the basis for a comic. It then later on turned into a visual novel idea with God and the Devil replaced with entities known as The Creator by angels, and his Adversary, the King of Hell. Much of the older art was intended for a comic.
